A Razer Phone got listed on a benchmarking website this week
Razer may have plans to make a big splash with its first smartphone. Weeks ahead of the company's
scheduled event, a Razer Android phone has appeared on GFXBench website which suggests that the phone will have 8GB of RAM among other high-end features.
According to the listing, first
spotted by PhoneRadar, the 'Razer Phone' will feature a 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and 8GB of RAM. Other features listed include 64GB inbuilt storage, a single 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The high-end hardware specifications will fit into Razer's supposed ambition to position its upcoming smartphone as a gaming device. How well Razer manages the software will of course determine whether its device is able to make the most out of the hardware.
